What’s the legal criteria to say somebody is a member of an organisation like this? Do they have to have a membership card to be banned from protests? It’s poorly defined and easily becomes anybody who turns up at a pro-palestinian protest. At that point you have banned protests on the subject.

Hold individuals accountable for their actions. Don’t police people’s views or their desire to express them.

Taking targeted action at those who perpetrated the sabotage would be my preference, rather than blanket bans on a protestors. This is the wrong way to solve the problem.

The response against Israel was more successful, but from what I can see the US base attack seemed less “we can hit you when we choose to” and more “this is all we can muster right now”.

He’s a member of the cabinet and so should know the government position. He can also state if UK forces acted in any part of the operation (e.g. refilling).

There’s multiple levels to it:

Sure, the chip makers make halo performance chips, but that’s because the phone makers are pushing them to make those chips for halo phones. The reason for that is that the public buy (or at least rent) halo phones.

Educating the public that there are reasons to buy more efficient phones should help shape the demand curve of the whole industry.

Designs which can be repaired can have specific parts taken out and recycled in isolation. If you can take the battery out easily you don’t have all the materials from the rest of phone contaminating your recycling pipeline.
